Well it's official... I have a new obsession. I have started a side business called Lisa Marie Paperie making custom stationery. I have always had a passion for graphic design and I decided this was the perfect way to make my hobby a business. While planning my wedding, I would get so frustrated trying to pick out invitations for each event because I would have a vision in my head and wasn't able to find exactly what I was looking for. I decided to try to make my programs to (a) save money and (b) see if I could do it. And ... voila ... they turned out exactly how I wanted. From then on I started doing little projects for friends and family to try to build up a portfolio. I now feel confident enough to go forward with this new endeavour.

Hello Blogger World!

Well, I've finally given in and started a blog! So much has happened this past year, I regret not having one sooner. But don't worry... I'll get you caught up in no time!

So where to begin. I live in Aubrey, Texas with my husband (Eric), dog (Oscar), and cat (Cali).

Eric and I got married last May and I could not imagine my life without him. He is my best friend and the best husband anyone could ever ask for. We purchased our first home last September and are LOVING it! We have a huge backyard with plenty of room for our newest family member, Oscar, to run around. And we actually live in the same neighborhood as my sister, Carolyn, which will be GREAT when my nephew, Caden, arrives this summer!

I'm currently working as an Office Manager for my dad's business, but have recently started a side business making custom stationery (post with more info to follow). Eric has been working for an EMS company for a little over a year and will be starting Paramedic school in April.
